Q-bital launches a unique interactive test facility to help healthcare professionals create their operating room

< Back to news
At a launch event held at its modular production facility in the Netherlands, Q-bital Healthcare Solutions was joined by more than 80 invited guests from healthcare providers and partner companies across Europe who enjoyed the first opportunity to visit the new centre.

Q-bital has launched a unique interactive test facility to help healthcare professionals create modular healthcare spaces that best meet their specific needs. Believed to be the only one of its kind in Europe, the Q-bital Configurable Operating room Test Facility offers an interactive way for hospital teams to experiment with, and experience, how clinical modular buildings can be configured before final design, build and delivery. At a special launch event held at its Netherlands modular production facility, Q-bital was joined by more than 80 invited guests from healthcare providers and partner companies across Europe who enjoyed the first opportunity to visit the new centre. Visitors toured the factory, learning more about the different stages of production of modular healthcare buildings and seeing for themselves how they are built to 80% completion before being delivered to site, minimising build time at their end destination. They also had the chance to visit the new test centre, meet Q-bital’s expert engineering, manufacturing, design and clinical teams, as well as a range of professional partners, and tour one of the organisation’s mobile laminar flow rooms.

As a leading provider of clinical infrastructure, Q-bital provides modular, mobile and mixed-modality solutions to healthcare providers across the world. The brand new Configurable Operating room Test Facility allows teams to gain hands-on experience in an immersive and fully functional modular-built operating room suite.

Christopher Blythe, Commercial Director (Modular Builds), Q-bital, said: “We were delighted to welcome so many visitors to the launch of our new interactive test facility. The feedback we have received has been phenomenal. Customers who attended have told us that being able to see for themselves the process of how our modular buildings are created, and how the interior can be configured to meet their particular needs, has been incredibly helpful.

“Within the centre, members of healthcare teams can evaluate and trial different layouts and equipment before design and plans are finalised. This is of huge benefit and reduces the potential for issues further along in the journey. “The centre includes a realistic operating room which provides an authentic space where teams can gain a true understanding of the configurations, equipment setups, and procedural workflows which can be created in a modular healthcare space. The test centre also allows surgical procedures to be simulated and tested in a controlled environment to best understand the impact of layout, equipment location, and ventilation systems on outcomes and efficiency. “We know the centre will be a huge asset in helping healthcare providers create the very best possible environments in which to deliver excellent patient care.”
